The legs, or base of the table is very sturdy, solid and traditional in form. I cleaned it all thoroughly, there was very little repair needed in this area so I treated the base to three coats of ReColour (Dulux brand of recycled furniture paint made from left over paints) in the Midnight Moment colour.
