Made by Reading. Cir. 1891 1899. Elaine design. A somewhat silly name for a doorknob (unless of course your name is Elaine!), but this design is absolutely exquisite. The knobs both have dense double sided decoration with a thick lined collar along the edge. The top is concave, making the design appear to spiral into the depths.
