The strands curl and trail with the soft, fuzzy halo you get from a freshly spun single, and each character has that gorgeous unruly quality of fibre before it is plied. The real star sits in the centre: the letter I is formed by a drop spindle, whorl and shaft, with fibre spiralling down its
