Like its relative agave Madrecuishe and Barril, this agave grows in a cylindrical, stalk shaped pia, with leaves spreading at the top. It is often slightly smaller than Madrecuishe, but more dense. El Jolgorio is a range of artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, made from a wide variety of rare, unique agave species. In Mexico, there are around fifty different species of agave used for
