Quarry green I finished the work by

I finished the work by adding the opaque white cold wax medium to obscure this leafy world

It reminds me of being in a crowded dance club with all the patrons competing to be heard

and the faded blue color of denim cutoffs

Printers ink on Arches watercolor paper

and graphite

Quarry green I finished the work byTwice, I thought this painting was finished and exhibited it in gallery shows. But when it came back the last time, I felt it was still missing something, and I'd continue to work on it. This is the final version. I titled it Quarry because if you unearthed the previous layers, you would find a wealth of "gems" hidden below the surface.
